PH Sports and Recreation are the Sports Management team that operate the Tiger Turf Arena Gateway:
PH Sports & Recreation manage sports facilities & events, corporate teambuilding events and operate competitive & social sports leagues.
- Expertise: sports club management, expertise in managing corporate, tertiary & Sports Club leagues and tournaments, community participation & development projects / coaching clinics.
- Operated: the Sandton Sports Club successfully for 5 years, increasing their membership from 350 to over 1500 and adding 7 new sports codes.
- Hosted: Nashua corporate soccer tournament with 1500 participants, Bafana Bafana training camps & training games. International Beach Volleyball tournament, S African National Frisbee tournament, basketball, tennis, cricket, beach soccer tournaments, hockey, netball and touch rugby leagues / tournaments / events.
- Clients: include Discovery, Nedcor, FNB, Prime Media, Supersport, MTN, Cell C, Nashua, Sun International, SAB, McDonald’s, Sportsmans Warehouse, The Fury Group, Dimension Data & many more.

Ø World Cup or Premier League knock out tournament: We can structure the schedule & fixtures – you just give us the team names.
Ø Coaching & Entertainers: Professional trick ball champion, No 1 in KZN. Amazing tricks & entertainment with soccer balls. Masseru interacts with the kids and teaches them tricks with a soccer ball.
Ø Fun Sports Games: for the less competitive, games for the girls etc. We set up obstacle courses, relays, target practice. Participants complete challenges to get points for their teams by:
1. SHOOT out – each player gets a chance to take the ball from the ½ way line, they have 5 seconds to try and score past the keeper.
2. Dribble & shoot obstacle – players need to dribble the ball through cones and then try and score.
3. Soccer relay – players run with ball, controlling it at their feet, and then pass the ball to next player, team to complete in fastest time wins.
Ø Netball and volleyball is available on request – R1 500 set up / equipment hire.
Ø We can provide the schedule & events, this will be officiated by sport managers / referees. Note: for the Fun Sports or coaching you will need to hire a ref / coach / entertainer. Please see rates below.
The Corporate events / team building rates are available on request once you have selected your items below. The rates are determined by the amount of participants and the type of event which you choose. Please note that is is our objective to accommodate your budget, so we will try and assist you in this regard.

Venue hire:
Per field: per hour is R500, every additional ½ hour is R250. We will advise you on the amount of fields and the time required for your event.
Food:
· Pizzas – choose from Regina, Hawaiian, Vegetarian, Chicken & Mushroom. Cost is R40 per pizza. As a guideline I suggest you order 6 Pizzas for every 10 kids, you can always order more during the event if required.
· Beef & chicken burgers with chips: R20-R25 per item
· Toasted sandwiches, b/wors rolls with chips etc: R15 – R20 per item
· Platters: from Samoosas, Sausage Rolls, Chicken Buffalo Wings, Drumsticks, Sausages, Chicken Strips, Springrolls, Hot chips, Pizza Strips.
· Braai packs: 3 meat; steak, chicken and wors, salad, rolls, and choice of pap & sauce or potato salad @ R75 p/person
2 meat; choice of either chicken or meat, wors, salad, rolls, and choice of pap & sauce or potato salad @ R65 p/person
· Additional menus available: From Roast Chicken, Breyanie, Lamb & Chicken Curry Curries, Steamed Veg, Rolls, Salads, lamb on the spit: Price and menu on request.
· You are entitled to bring your own sweets, birthday cake, party packs. All other Food & Beverages must be ordered from our venue.
Beverages: (run a tab on the day):
· Slush puppies; iced drink - R11 each
· cold drinks - R8

Sport management & refs: (add in requirements):
· Management: we manage your entire event, from logistics such as tables and chairs to officiating the games, we structure the schedule & fixtures and provide the entire package. Price on request as we need to establish the amount of teams, players and spectators – ranges from R1500 – R5000.
· Referee: R100 per hour.
· Entertainers: Professional trick ball champion, No 1 in KZN. Amazing tricks & entertainment with soccer balls. Masseru interacts with the kids and teaches them tricks with a soccer ball. R500 per 1st hour and R300 per hour thereafter.
· Per Coach: Experienced coach R200 per hour, every additional ½ hour R100.
Extra Staff (for functions over 30 people): (add in requirements):
· Barman R20 p/hour
· waiter R15 p/hour
· runner / cleaner R10 p/hour
Kids entertainment: (ad in requirements):
· Clowns: Rico the Clown, also does Balloon sculptures & games: R750 – R900 for 1 hour.
· Face painting: R250 p/hour
Equipment; (add in requirements):
· Inflatable’s: R400 – R700.
· Tables: R30 per trestle table.
· Chairs: R5 per chair
· Chair Covers R4.50 each
· Tableclothes R15.00 Round / R12.00 Long
· Marquee: R9 000 to accommodate 200 people – subject to site inspection. Includes transport, set up & strike, safety certificate.
· Gazebo: R150 per Gazebo
· Invitations: R100. We can design invitations with event name, directions, time & date etc.
· Laminated Certificates: R15 per certificate.
· Photographs & videos of the event: – price on request.
Some House Rules:
· Play in soccer boots or tackies, no metal studs.
· No alcohol is allowed to be brought onto the premises, we have a bar facility available.
· No food is allowed to be brought onto the premises, we have a kitchen / restaurant available.
· No glasses or glass bottles allowed.
· No high heels on the turf.
· No smoking.
